Week 4 of the UW Employee Golf League saw golfers avoiding the rain, but just barely from what I am told. The level of golf has stayed pretty constant from earlier weeks. The average score was again 48. We had 31 golfers this week, with one bye. Just as a reminder, everyone plays every week even if your opponent is a bye (the bye gets a score of 33). We had two golfers break 40, with Daniel Steinbring shooting 36 and Jimmy Yednock shooting 39. Congratulations to Daniel and Jimmy. Dave Downing shot a net 30 and Ed Molter, Mike Sanders, Steve McDonnell, Matt Raymer, Bob Jokisch, and Jimmy Yednock shot net 32. We should be getting some lower net scores now that our eight new golfers have established handicaps.
Team McEvilly continued to be in first place with 14.0 points, but Team Yancey moved to within a point with 13.0 points. There is a long way to go in the first half, so no one is out of it by any means.
