Week 2 (May 5) Matchups
This week marks the beginning of regular competition. As we did last year, we'll alternate upper and lower tees on Hole #8. This week, a chance to watch your high-arcing wedge shot from the upper tee.
Survey Results
Asked which they prefer, getting a prize ball for longest drive, closest to the pin, etc., or having their name entered in a drawing for cash prizes when they win one of those challenges, league members responded as follows:
Prize balls: 7
Cash prize drawings: 20
No preference: 4
As a result, the commissioner will not distribute prize balls. At midseason, a drawing will be held for four (4) $25 prizes, and at season's end another similar drawing will be held. A golfer's name will be entered in a drawing once for every challenge they've won. One prize per person per drawing.
