Week 4 (May 28, 2019) Results and Standings

The weather at Glenway was again cool, but with all the rain, the course is in pretty good shape, although the roughs could use a bit of trimming.  For those golfers who have been with the league for a while, the trees are certainly cut back.  The first hole especially is less challenging if you go slightly right.

For week 4, the average scores were again 48. Only one golfer broke 40, and it is again Mark Woodruff with a 39.   Jimmy Yednock (once again also) and Jeff Dvorak had the next best score, with a 41.  Mike Sanders had the lowest net score with a 27, while Ambuj Shatdal had a 28.

After the second week of the first half, the standings have Team Dvorak still in first place with 15.5 points.  Team McEvilly remains  in second place with 11.5 points, and Teams Rieves and Raymer are in third with 11.0 points.

We had a first in a while for the Challenge Winners - no one was able to get on the green in one on Hole #2, so we didn't have a winner.

Challenge Winners were as follows:
  • No one - Closest to Pin First Shot on Hole #2
  • Mark Woodruff - Longest Drive on Hole #5
  • Mike Sanders - Longest Drive on Hole #9
  • Zach Katona - Longest Putt on Hole #9

Only one golfer had a birdie this week:
  • Ambuj Shatdal on Hole #9
