Week 2 Results

Week 2 results and standings are now posted in the usual spot.

It seems the early spring did nothing to better prepare us for the season.  Only 7 out of 38 handicapped golfers either hit (3) or beat (4, but you figured that out yourself) their handicaps on Tuesday.

It hasn't affected everyone - Steve Moritz followed up last week's 37 (net 28) with a 36 (net 27) this week.  Ralph Stamler is a bit off last year's three-round average of 35, but has still also scored 37 and 36 this year.

It' early, but the Moritz team is looking for back-to-back half-championships after winning the 2011 second half and leading so far this year.  The Warren team and others are right behind them, though.

In other news, Tuesday was great for me, as I picked up a new Callaway Big Bertha head cover that  somebody apparently didn't want.  If it goes unclaimed, I will attempt to trade it in at the clubhouse for a PBR.

A reminder - there is a 5-over par maximum in this league.  If you get to 5-over par, pick up your ball and move on.  One scorecard reported a 10 on the first hole this week, which is against the rules.

Sorry for my absence last week. Unexpected medical procedure. While the doctor was in there, I asked him to fix my swing. We'll see how successful he was tonight.
