Week 5 of the UW Employee Golf League saw golfers battling the heat. The level of golf has stayed pretty constant from earlier weeks. The average score was again 48. We had 31 golfers this week. We had one golfer break 40, with Mark Woodruff shooting 35. Great job Mark! Mike Brania had the next best score with a 41. Kevin Baily and Tim Mattes shot net 27, while Mark Woodruff and Dan Steinhoff shot net 28.
Team McEvilly expanded its lead in the standings with a total of 19 points. Second place is still Team Yancey with 14 points.
Two golfers reported a birdie this week:
- Andrew Preboski on Hole #8
- Ed Molter on Hole #3
