Week 2 (May 12, 2020) Results and Standings

Week 2 kicked off the first half for golfers in the UW Employee Golf League.  It was a cool but pleasant night for golf.  The average score was 48, a decent start to the year.  We ended up with a full slate of 32 golfers for our eight teams. While no one broke 40, one of our new golfers, Roberto Rivera, had the low score of 40.  Mark Woodruff, Adam Hopkins, and another new golfer, Daniel Steinbring, shot 41.  Barry Wanner and Adam Hopkins had low net scores of 29, while Matt Raymer shot a net 30.

Team McEvilly has a "commanding" 0.5 point lead with 5.0 points, while Teams Larson and Jokisch are at 4.5.  Team Yancey is at 4.0 points; Team Raymer has 2.0 points; Team Rieves and Downing are at 1.5 points; and Team Kraus has 1.0 point.

May 5 Scramble Results

Tuesday's scramble marked the opening of the 2020 UW Employee Golf League.  The rain thankfully held off on a cool day.  Considering the inability to use a driving range and putting green, the scores were pretty good.

Team McEvilly blew away the competition with a 28, 4 under par, with birdies on #1, #3, #7, and #9.  Very impressive score!  Team McEvilly took second with a solid 31, with a birdie on #2.  I will mail out the prize money to the two winning teams with the final prize money.

Here are all the scores:

  • Team McEvilly 28 (First Place)
  • Team Rieves 31 (13 putts) (Second Place)
  • Team Larson 32 (12 putts)
  • Team Yancey 33 (11 putts)
  • Team Downing 33 (14 putts)
  • Team Kraus 35 (12 putts)
  • Team Raymer 35 (15 putts)
  • Team Jokisch 36 (14 putts)
