Dave Rieves (8) v. Jon Wellik (8)
Week 12 was a pleasant night but golfers may have had a few too many beers. The 32 golfers who played for our eight teams had an average score of 49 - a drop of 3 strokes from the previous week. Only one golfer, Jimmy Yednock, broke 40, while two golfers, Mark Woodruff and Keith Brown, shot 41. Carl Akre had the low net score with a 30, while Rob Guenther and Mike Sanders shot net 31.
Mike Blum (19) v. Dave Rieves (8)
Week 11 was a warm night and golfers sure heated it up on the golf course. The 32 golfers who played for our eight teams had an average score of 46 - a strong showing. Six golfers broke 40, with Jimmy Yednock and Chris Buss shooting 36, Commissioner Bob Jokisch shooting 37, and Scott Larson, Keith Brown, and Mike Schauer shooting 38. The Commish had the low net score with a 26 because he isn't as good a golfer as the others breaking 40, and Keith Brown and Scott Larson had a net 28. The Commish also had 9 putts, which was crazy, so don't expect a score like 37 again. I putted one in from off the green, 7 one-putts, and one two-putt. Don't forget to report if you have a round with 12 putts or less - you win a golf ball.
Andrew Preboski (15) v. Mike Blum (19)
Week 10 was a pleasant weather night after the previous week's partial rainout. Golfers showed a noticeable improvement with 31 golfers for our eight teams with an average score of 48. Two golfers broke 40, with Mark Woodruff shooting 38 and Jimmy Yednock shooting 39. Eric Durkee and Rob Guenther had the low net scores with 30s. Jon Wellik, Andrew Preboski, and Keith Brown had net 31s.
Rob Zimmerman (26) v. Andrew Preboski (16)
Week 9 ended early for most golfers as rain led to only the first two foursomes completing their nine holes. After some confusion by the commissioner about how to handle the situation, other golfers reminded me that we use the next week's scores for those golfers that did not complete their round. With switching nines every week at Odana, that means we won't have any results from Week 9 until Week 11 when we play the front nine again.
