Week 5 (June 7, 2022) Results and Standings

Week 5 was another pleasant night and the average scores improved to match the nice weather.  We had 30 golfers for our eight teams and the average score was 49, an improvement over the previous week's 51.  Two golfers broke 40, but Jimmy Yednock shooting 37 and Mike Schauer shooting 38.  The Commissioner, Bob Jokisch had the low net score with a net 31, while Mike Schauer had a net 32.  For those of you wondering about the secret to shooting a low net score, I found that it helps to stink for a number of weeks and then shoot one decent score.

After four weeks of the first half, the standings have tightened considerably as the top two teams, Team Raymer and Team Larson, came back to the pack.  Both teams are tied for first with 16.5 points, while Team Downing is in third at 13.5 points.

Four golfers had a birdie this week:
  • Al Crist on Hole #2
  • Bob Jokisch on Hole #2
  • Steve Errthum on Hole #6
  • Dave Downing on Hole #6

Prize Winners:

  • Closest to the pin on 4th shot on Hole #2: Al Crist
  • Longest Putt on Hole #3: Dan Stanford
  • Closest to the pin on 3rd Shot from off green on Hole #7: Dan Steinhoff
  • Longest Drive on Hole #9: Mike Schauer
