Week 7 of the UW Employee Golf League saw more great weather for golf. We had 31 golfers for our eight teams and the average score went down to 48. Three golfer broke 40, with Jason Raffel shooting 37, Bob Jokisch with a 38 (no that isn't a misprint), and Mark Woodruff and shooting 39. The Commissioner shot his lowest score ever and was second on his team. The Commissioner had the low net score with a 26, while David Downing had a net 27.
With one week to go in the first half of match play, Teams Kraus has a commanding lead with 27 points. Team Jokisch is the only team that can catch them for the first half title with 22.5 points.
Week 6 of the UW Employee Golf League saw pleasant weather for golf. We had 32 golfers for our eight teams and the average score went up slightly to 51. Two golfer broke 40, with Mark Woodruff and Jimmy Yednock shooting 39. Jason Loughgren had the next best score with 41. Low net scores were Al Crist and Jimmy Yednock with a 30, while Dan Stanford and Adam Hopkins had net 33.
After week four of match play, Teams Kraus jumped into sole possession of first with 21.5 points. Team Larson is second with 18 points, and Team Jokisch has 17.5.
Week 5 of the UW Employee Golf League saw hot weather for golf. We had 31 golfers for our eight teams and the average score improved substantially to 48. One golfer broke 40, with Mark Woodruff shooting a 37. Scott Larson and Mike Brania had the next best score with 41. Low net score was Tom Stafford with a 26, while Clyde Kaikuaana, Dave Downing, Mike Brania, and Mike Sanders shot 29.
After week four of match play, Teams Kraus and Larson are tied for first place with 16 points and Team Rieves is in third with 14.5 points.
Week 4 of the UW Employee Golf League saw pleasant weather for golf. We had 31 golfers for our eight teams and the average score was up a little to 51. There was a surprising lack of low scores, with Ambuj Shatdal having the best score with a 44, while Tom Mack and Scott Larson shot 45. Low net scores were Gary Buehler with a 29 and Barry Wanner with a 31.
After the week three of match play, Team Kraus is in first place with 12 points and Team Larson is in second with 11.5 points. Team Rieves is in third with 11 points.
