Week 15 of the UW Employee Golf League saw a hot evening on the golf course. We had 32 golfers for our eight teams and the average score was again slightly higher than normal for this year at 47. One golfer broke 40, with Mark Woodruff shooting 38. Jason Raffel had the next best score with a 40. Low net scores were Mike Sanders with a 26 and Gary Bueller with a 27.
Going into the final week of the second half, four teams are still in it. Team Kraus cut into Team Rieves lead. Team Rieves has 23 points. Team Kraus is in second with 22.5 points. Team Raymer with 20 points and Team Jokisch with 18.5 points are still in it. Others would need a number of no shows to have a chance.
Week 14 of the UW Employee Golf League saw a continuation of nice weather. We had 31 golfers for our eight teams and the average score was slightly higher at 47. Three golfers broke 40, with Mark Woodruff shooting 34, Dan Steinbring shooting 38, and Ed Molter with a score of 39. Ed's putting was a key to his score with only 10 putts. Great job, Ed! Ed also had the low net score with a net 26, while Matt Raymer and Chris Hammen had net 28.
Team Rieves continued to be in the lead after the fifth week with 22 points, but the standings bunched up quite a bit. Team Kraus is still in second with 17.5 points.
Week 13 of the UW Employee Golf League saw gorgeous weather. We had a full roster of 32 golfers for our eight teams and the average score was agin 46. We are consistent! Dan Steinhof had the low net score with a 24, while Matt Raymer had a net 25. Dan Steinhof had 12 putts which I'm sure helped low net round. Congratulations Dan!
Team Rieves continued to be in the lead after the fourth week with 20 points. Team Kraus is in second with 16.5 points.
Week 12 of the UW Employee Golf League saw a continuation of dry conditions thankfully We have had enough rainouts. We had 31 golfers with an average score of 46. Only one golfer broke 40, with Jason Raffel shooting a 39. Mark Woodruff, Ambuj Shatdal, Al Crist, and Scott Larson had the next lowest score with 40.
