Golf League Cancelled - Tuesday April 29

It may be that the previous commissioner was made of sturdier stuff than the current commissioner, but due to wet grounds, cold conditions, and the near certainty of more rain (plus the chance of a thunderstorm), our golf league is cancelled this evening.  Hopefully the weather will be much better next week.  It will be May after all.

Week One Results - April 22

We had a great turnout (39 golfers) for our opening night.  Every group finished, though it was a tad dark for the last group.  Hopefully longer days will help as the season progresses.

Team Warren picked up where it left off at the end of the 2012 season - in first place (tied with team Weber).  Defending champion team Nelson is right behind.  The commissioner got off to a good start in a quest for a third straight low average title, but will be facing a tough challenge from team McEvilly's new ringer - Jim Zweifel.  Shane Gibson had the low gross score.  The complete results are posted to the right.

Week 1 Pairings - April 22

The 2014 Glenway UW Mens League gets underway on Tuesday, April 22.  The pairings for opening night follow.  Please take note of the earlier start times.

A reminder about the shots per hole limit.  Once you have attempted 7 shots on a par three, pick up your ball and score an 8.  Once you have attempted 8 shots on a par 4, pick up your ball and take a 9.  Be certain to keep pace with the group ahead of you.  Let's work together to make certain everyone finishes in daylight.

We welcome back team Warren this season.  Since our defending champions, team Nelson, were kind enough to arrange the banquet last fall, team Warren (the 2012 season champions) will have that pleasure at the end of this season.  Dave Rieves will be the captain of our other new team.
