Week 18 Results Posted

I have posted the results for Week 18 of the golf season. Also posted are the Final 2nd Half Standings.

It took all season, but we finally had an eagle on Tuesday. Congratulations to Adam Hopkins, who holed his 86-yard second shot on the 1st hole Tuesday night for an eagle 2. Last season, Mike Kraus eagled #1 and Charlie Ponti eagled #5 (which we may never see again).

2008 Championship Match-Up Set

The Championship Match-Ups have been set, as the Moritz team is the 1st Half Champion and the Wolfe team the 2nd Half Champion.

Week 17 Results, Banquet, etc.

Week 17 results are posted. Follow the links on the right of this page. The 2nd half race comes down to the wire, while the Moritz team is forced to study films of both the Dvorak and Wolfe teams in preparation for the League Championship.

Many of you have not signed up for the banquet yet. Please let me know via email, telephone, comment in this post, or in person whether you will be attending.

The Miller vs Loew match-up for next Tuesday will occur during the 3:52 and 4:00 tee times rather than 5:53 and 6:00. Thanks for your flexibility, gentlemen.

On Tuesday, don't forget to sign up for the banquet. Here is the relevant info. I'll have a signup sheet with me, and I'll leave one in the clubhouse when I get there Tuesday.

Tuesday's pairings and tee times are listed below. There are a few scheduling notes for this week.

• The Moritz/Hidde/McEvilly/Stanford foursome will tee off at 3:52 Tuesday.
  
• The Delveaux/Corcoran twosome will tee off at 4:00 Tuesday.
  
• Although the match-ups will remain as shown below, Sanders and Heberlein will switch tee times.
• For next week, the Miller and Loew teams may want to arrange an alternate time for their match-up, since they're the last two groups.

Early Tee Times Tuesday (8/19)

Hello Golfers -

Due to the earlier sunset, it's getting very dark for the last few groups on Tuesday nights. To help alleviate this, Glenway has reserved the 3:52 and 4:00 tee times for us next Tuesday. Anybody in the league who can use these tee times, regardless of your team or match-up, is welcome to do so. (I'll give the McEvilly and Moritz teams first crack, since they're scheduled last.) During the regular tee times Tuesday, we will consolidate so that every group has four golfers and we all get in before dark.

If you would like to golf in one of the early tee times, please let me know - either by posting a comment under this post on the blog or by email or phone.

The date and location of the banquet for the 51^st year of the Tuesday Night Glenway Golf Course UW Employee Men’s Golf League (aka The TNGGCUWEMGL) has been set! Below is the pertinent information.
