PLAY FAST TUESDAY

UPDATE:  League play is cancelled Tuesday, April 21.  We will play the week one schedule next week, and will play the first weekend in September.

It gets dark early this time of year, so each group should attempt to finish their rounds in 2 hours or less.  The rule changes we made during the banquet last year should help.  The rules for 2015 will be attached to the ball washers on holes one and five for your review, and are posted to the right of this message.  Some keys for fast play on Tuesday include:

1.  Get to the course early enough to warm up (if you want), review the rules, and tee off as soon as the group ahead of you is out of range.  Have golfers who hit shorter drives go first - honors should not be as important as ready golf.

2.  For lost balls, balls out of bounds, and balls hit into the trees, use the new rules to take a drop and do not look for balls for more than a minute or two.  The generous new drop rules should limit the impact of the one stroke penalty.

Pairings for Week One, April 21

Our season kicks off on Tuesday, April 21.  The pairings for the first night follow.  As previously mentioned, all players will be required to pay the greens fees whether you attend or not, so please be there or have a sub ready to play and pay in your place.

With those pleasant tidings being shared, best wishes to all for a fun and fast paced 2015 season.  Please be certain to check out the 2015 rules, with special attention to the rules changes we agreed to at the 2014 banquet.
