2015 Season Begins April 21

The 2015 season will begin on Tuesday, April 21 with all ten teams returning from the 2014 season.  The April 21 start date permits completing a 19 week season (18 matches and one scramble) by the end of August.

New this season:

> The City of Madison is requiring the league to provide 40 player fees for 19 weeks.  If there are one or two rain outs, the season will be extended into September.  If there are more than 2 rainouts, players must pay for the rounds and will receive rain checks that can be used other times before the course closes for the season.

> Unlike the last two seasons, players who cannot attend a given week and do not have a sub show up on their behalf will be required to pay for the missed week.  One can understand why the City is requiring this after a summer of 70 no shows in our league alone.  Be certain to identify yourself when paying to make sure you are credited for your payment, and ask any subs you send in your place to do the same.

2015 Season Sign-Up

I sent a message to members of every team last weekend to see who will be returning for the 2015 league season.  I have only heard from half the teams (and I do not have contact information for Captains Nelson and McEvilly).  I will need to sign us up next week, and need to know if we will have an 8 or a 10 team league.  Please contact me soon.  Thank you.
